'NO ORDINARY' WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VEHCILE
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE VEHICLE
The WAIV is designed to revolutionise wheelchair accessible travel within the UK and beyond.
A ‘WAIV’ is a truly bespoke vehicle manufactured to meet the needs of the individual wheelchair user offering a wide range of base vehicle specification, wheelchair accessible equipment and innovative design solutions, designed to offer compromise free, independent travel for wheelchair users.
In the current market, many wheelchair users are required to choose the wheelchair accessible vehicle that ‘closest’ suits their requirements – ‘the individual adapts to the vehicle, as opposed the vehicle is adapted for the individual’ – This, in many cases presents a compromise that will be withstanding throughout their ownership of the vehicle, this compromise escalates to dissatisfaction to which the user will have to live and travel with for years.
The ‘WAIV’ flips the concept of ‘buy the closest suitable vehicle’ on its head and allows for the wheelchair user to configure a wheelchair accessible vehicle that precisely meets their access and healthcare needs.
Within the innovation of the WAIV, wheelchair users can opt for specialist specification not currently available in another wheelchair accessible vehicle such as;
12v remote control deployable ramp
Ceiling track hoisting
Wet rooms with toilets
Four-point travel harness
(for safely lying prone when travelling)
As each vehicle, is designed to meet the individual wheelchair users requirements, each model is configured not only to enhance the access and healthcare equipment on hand when travelling on the ‘Open Road’, each model is also designed and built with expertise and knowledge to incorporate wheelchair specification, turning circles and safe working practices to enhance user ability and independence.
Revolutionising Wheelchair Accessible Travel
We all have the inherent need and urge to travel freely, discover new places and live life unlimited – the WAIV has been developed and designed based on those fundamental needs.
For many wheelchair users, without the ability to travel with ‘everything they need to hand’ the world becomes a small place, where freedom to travel is restricted by ‘the unknown’ and their confidence ability to use one-size fits all facilities, and unfortunately for many wheelchair users they would rather not travel, than face ‘the unknown’.
The ‘WAIV’ is designed to eliminate the need to use/rely on ‘one-size fits all’ facilities when out and about, allowing the user to take all their facilities with them.
