DELIVERY & HANDOVER PROCESS
Great adventures start with a great hand-over.
Once you’ve reserved your motorhome, we’ll confirm an estimated collection date within 28 days of receiving the base vehicle. On the day, collect from our Nuneaton workshop (Mon–Fri 09:30–16:30); allow up to five hours for a full accessibility demo, ramp/lift tuition, and paperwork.
You then have 14 days to road-test every feature and flag anything that needs tweaking. After that, Coachbuilt considers the vehicle fully accepted and your warranty protection kicks in.

1. Do I need specialist insurance for a wheelchair-accessible motorhome?
Yes. Standard leisure-vehicle policies rarely understand lifts, hoists or lowered floors. Coachbuilt recommends a specialist adapted-vehicle insurer and advising them of every modification, so the agreed value covers both the base vehicle and its conversion cost.
2. How are wheelchairs secured while we’re on the move?
Every Coachbuilt LIV. motorhome is supplied with a certified four-point travel harness and wheelchair restraint system to Unwin/ISO standards, the same kit fitted in our WAIV day vehicles . The anchor rails are bolted through reinforced floor sections, and we proof-test tie-down points during the 110-point inspection.
3. What driving-licence category do I need?
It depends on weight.

Up to 3,500 kg MTPLM – Category B (standard car licence).

3,501–7,500 kg MTPLM – Category C1. Drivers who passed before 1 January 1997 usually already have C1; those who passed later can add it with an extra test. Over-70s must renew with a D4 medical if they want to keep C1.
